Recently, NetEase announced that its mobile title 'Justice Online' has officially integrated its 'first-ever Game GPT.' The developers claim this technology, sharing origins with ChatGPT, will grant NPCs high-level autonomy and randomness, aiming to create a more immersive and vivid open-world martial arts experience.

However, the gaming community on NGA responded with heavy skepticism. Many labeled the announcement as just another instance of 'chasing hot trends' (a common critique of NetEase’s marketing style). Some veteran players pointed to the company's past projects like 'Fuxi Tongbao,' which were heavily hyped but failed to see meaningful industry adoption, questioning whether this 'GPT' claim is truly revolutionary or just empty marketing.
Critics dubbed the company 'Pig Factory' (a popular derogatory nickname for NetEase in the Chinese community), arguing that they are always eager to jump on the latest buzzwords. Players also voiced concerns about the gameplay experience, worrying that complex AI-driven interactions might lead to tedious, grind-heavy quest designs. Many expressed that given the poor reputation of the PC version, such tech-focused marketing does little to improve their perception of the game's actual quality.
