A content creator drops what he calls "ironclad proof" of a gaming giant bullying him — but when the internet actually reads the evidence, the story flips from "exposing oppression" to "exposing yourself." Welcome to today's hottest drama on NGA.
The protagonist is 月飞大叔 (MoonFly Uncle), a Bilibili content creator. He went public in his paid WeChat subscriber group (舰长群/Captain group) claiming that miHoYo had issued commercial threats against him, posting a series of chat log screenshots as his "smoking gun."

The screenshots allegedly showed miHoYo pressuring MoonFly Uncle — potentially restricting him from creating content for other games. His implication was clear: because he was making guides for miHoYo's Honkai: Star Rail while simultaneously covering Kuro Games' competitor title Wuthering Waves (鸣潮), miHoYo retaliated with commercial pressure.

But NGA netizens did what they do best — they actually read the evidence. And what they found was... not quite what MoonFly Uncle claimed.
The biggest issue? The core accusation — that miHoYo banned him from covering Wuthering Waves — had no actual support in the chat logs. A commenter in reply #10 pointed out that while the first screenshot was presented as proof of a coverage ban, the actual messages showed miHoYo saying "you're free to work on other games." Another user in reply #11 echoed this, noting the logs only showed resource revocation with mentions of future collaboration.

Even more telling: multiple users noticed that miHoYo seemed less concerned about which games he covered and more focused on the quality of his existing Honkai: Star Rail guides. As one commenter put it: "Rather than caring about whether he streams Wuthering Waves, miHoYo seems more interested in whether his guides are actually correct." Reply #16 made the same observation.
But the rabbit hole went deeper. Replies #13 and #14 uncovered that MoonFly Uncle's supposedly original Relic (遗器) guides — the kind of content that earns you beta server access — were literally copy-pasted from miHoYo staff's own explanations.

The roasting was brutal: "Your Relic guides are just parroting what the staff told you — what's the beta access even for?" Some went further, asking whether his entire video output was scripted by miHoYo's customer service team.
As for MoonFly Uncle's actual motivations, the community was deeply split. One camp saw this as textbook "bite the hand that feeds you" behavior — cashing miHoYo's checks and enjoying beta access, then turning around to play the victim. Reply #12 was particularly blunt: "Having your beta access revoked counts as threats now? Doing your job properly is basic professional ethics."
The other camp suspected this was pure clout-chasing. Reply #6 called MoonFly Uncle a long-time "drama farming expert" (拉踩高手) who might be deliberately stirring controversy for engagement. Reply #17 quoted him saying: "My traffic is still too small, and I don't want to be directly tied to miHoYo right now" — suggesting he was playing both sides. Reply #18 was the harshest: "This guy is a pure performance artist. Hypes himself up with hot takes, takes the brand's money, then turns around and sells them out."
miHoYo has not officially responded to any of this. But the NGA consensus is pretty clear: MoonFly Uncle's attempt to frame himself as a victim of corporate bullying has spectacularly backfired. Between the chat logs contradicting his claims and the plagiarism evidence, this was less "exposing the man" and more "exposing yourself." As one commenter summarized: "At the end of the day, he's just not good enough — he doesn't even have what it takes to be a proper rebel."
