Kid Impersonates Tencent to Report Tencent's Own Game on Douyin — And Actually Succeeds. Even 'Nanshan Court Invincible' Can't Handle This

Impersonate Tencent to report Tencent — and the report actually goes through. This isn't a copypasta. This is a real incident involving Honor of Kings World (王者荣耀世界) promotion material.

The protagonist is a young player the community has dubbed '小孩哥' (xiǎo hái gē, literally 'kid bro' — a term for minors who pull off absurdly audacious stunts online). This kid, who reportedly uses a 'war criminal' style avatar on Douyin (TikTok China), went full degen mode: he impersonated Tencent to file a takedown report against Tencent's own promotional content for Honor of Kings World, on Douyin. The craziest part? The report actually succeeded — Douyin forced the content offline.

The first commenter to call this out wrote: 'How does this feel so absurd it's almost like a self-directed skit? Tencent's review system kills its own parent company's stuff, and a single-person report actually works?' Someone then added crucial context — the report was filed through Douyin, so it was ByteDance's platform that pulled the content, not Tencent's own system.

What makes this incident so surreal is the Tencent-ByteDance rivalry angle. One confused commenter asked, 'When did ByteDance start letting Tencent promote on their platform?' The answer: the two tech giants have long since buried the hatchet — you can even stream Honor of Kings on Douyin now. So the former bitter rivals become allies, only for the kid to swoop in and get Tencent's promotion nuked on ByteDance's turf. You truly can't make this up.

The community's reaction to 'kid bro' is a fascinating mix of exasperation and grudging respect. 'This kid has gone completely unhinged,' said one user. Another admitted, 'Setting aside the contract violations, every stunt this kid pulls is pure entertainment gold.' Multiple commenters saw streaming potential: 'Get this kid a VTuber avatar and he'd be the king of the 吧友 (bāyǒu, NGA's chaotic comment section) scene' — to which someone replied, 'So basically the next-gen 电瓶哥 (diànpíng gē, a famous NGA troll).' Others lamented the timing: 'Born to be a content king, too bad he's a few years too young to stream.' The savage reply: 'If he were older, he wouldn't have the underage shield anymore though.'

One commenter nailed the absurdity with a single line: '天下至毒之物,五步之内必有解药 — For every deadliest poison, there's always an antidote within five steps. Even Tencent, the 'Nanshan Court Invincible' (南山必胜客, Tencent's nickname for always winning lawsuits at its home Nanshan District court), meets its T0 matchup and has to just sit there and take the L.' Sometimes the most powerful corporation in Chinese gaming can't handle a kid with a war criminal avatar and a dream.
