A post that the original author can't delete, and forum moderators can't delete either — no, this isn't a horror movie plot. It's what's actually happening on Baidu Tieba right now.

An NGA user posted about undeletable pinned posts appearing on Baidu Tieba (China's biggest forum platform, similar to Reddit). The original poster tried to delete their own post and failed. The content in question is allegedly linked to miHoYo's game Version 4.8 update. Screenshots were provided as proof that even the post's author has zero deletion privileges.

In the replies, a former Tieba moderator for a single-player game subforum came forward with a detailed exposé of how this system has evolved over the years. It started with spam ads disguised as normal posts that junior mods couldn't delete. When senior mods force-deleted them, Baidu issued warnings. Eventually, ad posts became completely immune to all moderator actions. The final escalation: even regular high-engagement posts became mysteriously 'undeletable.'

However, this ex-moderator also pointed out that the undeletable post in question had very low likes and comment counts — hardly 'high-engagement.' This is where another commenter dropped a devastating theory: miHoYo most likely purchased a Baidu hot search placement for the Version 4.8 update. To justify that paid hot search, Baidu needs to forcibly pin related posts to fill the space — which explains why moderators suddenly lost their deletion privileges on these specific posts.
The comment section went nuclear. One of the top-voted replies sarcastically said 'Everyone, give miHoYo-sama some face' (大家给米桑一个面子) — using the derogatory honorific 'miHoYo-sama' (米桑) to mock the company's alleged special treatment on the platform. Others dug up miHoYo's previous grandstanding about 'cracking down hard on leakers' (严厉打击内鬼) and called out the irony — preaching anti-leak measures while allegedly pulling strings with Baidu's platform.
Multiple users pointed out this isn't a first-time occurrence. One claimed to have seen similar operations in the same Tieba subforum the previous year, involving the same company. Another bluntly stated: 'When undeletable posts appear on Tieba, you can basically confirm Baidu is behind it. Baidu definitely gets paid to do this — who's paying, I won't say.' (百度肯定是收钱办事的,收谁的钱我就不知道了)
While there's no official confirmation of who bought the hot search or who ordered the forced pinning, the community has built a pretty convincing chain of evidence: the post's content ties to Version 4.8 → Tieba 'Big God' (大神, premium creator) posts easily reach the homepage → homepage posts become immune to moderator deletion → Baidu acts on paid instructions, with miHoYo suspected as the client. As for the truth? Only Baidu and the paying party know for sure.
