A Literal Kid Leaks Honor of Kings: World Gameplay on Douyin — Tencent's QA Gate Can't Even Stop Minors

0 热度

A player who appears to be a literal minor somehow got their hands on a beta test key for Honor of Kings: World (王者荣耀世界) — Tencent's most-hyped open-world title — and brazenly posted real gameplay footage on Douyin, China's TikTok. The NGA community immediately crowned the leaker as the latest 'kid bro' (小孩哥) legend, with players marveling that even Tencent's iron grip couldn't stop a child.

Judging from the leaked high-res screenshots, the production quality of Honor of Kings: World looks genuinely impressive. One player remarked that 'the game's production is literally fueled by blood,' comparing TiMi Studio's ambitions to delivering a product on the level of Black Myth: Wukong. Others pushed back, noting that Black Myth had the advantage of reinterpreting a beloved national cultural icon — something Honor of Kings can't quite replicate at the game-design level.

The video was taken down quickly — a commenter in reply #5 posted a screenshot confirming its removal. But by then the screenshots and discussion had already exploded across the community. Players piled on with mockery:

The top-voted reply declared: 'Kid bro is truly invincible — even Tencent's mighty hand can't do anything about him.' Someone else invoked a classic Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim joke, noting that children are unkillable NPCs in that game too — 'even the Dragonborn who slays Alduin can't touch a kid.' In any game world, minors remain the true T0 tier.

But beyond the memes, players had real questions about Tencent's QA gatekeeping. One commenter fired off: 'What the hell is Tencent's review team even doing? How does a minor get beta access? Is face recognition or a video call verification too much to ask?' Another user shot back referencing Tencent's infamous 2020 blunder — the Honor of Kings x Old Godmother (老干妈) ad-fraud scandal — saying 'They literally fell for a fake Old Godmother sponsorship back then, and you're surprised by this?'

Some players were still hunting for mirrors: 'Waiting for it to show up on X or YouTube.' Others worried about the leaker's fate: 'Won't this mean an instant account ban plus device/ID blacklisting? Tencent needs to bring the heat.' And one asked: 'Let's see how deep kid bro's pockets are' — implying that getting targeted by Tencent's legal team is not something an ordinary person can weather.

For now, the video is down and the immediate drama has subsided. But the incident has only reinforced the legendary status of 'kid bros' in the gaming leak scene — no matter how tight a publisher's NDAs and verification processes may be, there's always that one minor who slips through the cracks, and the community loves every second of it.
