NetEase Mobile Game Revenue Rankings Leaked: Ni Shui Han Dominates at 3.24B, Identity V Overtakes Onmyoji — Community in Shambles

The NetEase mobile gaming community just got its hands on a spicy piece of intel — the internal revenue rankings for January to April 2024 have been leaked, and it's basically a reality check for every game under the NetEase umbrella. Who's printing money? Who's on life support? The numbers don't lie.

According to the leaked data (originally posted on NGA), NetEase's mobile games fall into three clear tiers. The Big Three: Ni Shui Han (逆水寒, the martial arts MMO) dominates at a jaw-dropping ¥3.24 billion, Fantasy Westward Journey (梦幻西游) follows at ¥2.63 billion, and Eggy Party (蛋仔派对) holds third with ¥1.9 billion. The Mid-Tier Trio consists of Identity V (第五人格) at ¥990 million, Rate of the Land (率土之滨) at ¥780 million, and World Outside (世界之外) at ¥690 million. The rest of the pack includes Top Speed (巅峰极速) at ¥500 million, Onmyoji (阴阳师) at ¥440 million, with several titles in the ¥300-400 million range and Naraka Mobile still in beta testing at the time.

But here's where it gets really juicy — the biggest takeaway isn't who's on top, it's the absolutely brutal gap between Identity V and Onmyoji. One top comment put it perfectly: "Just three years ago, Identity V was sitting at the same table as Onmyoji: Arena (决战平安京). Now, counting overseas revenue, it's lapping the entire Onmyoji IP combined." The once-undisputed queen of NetEase's portfolio is now getting doubled by a game that used to be its little brother.

The comment section is basically a Zen (Onmyoji's developer studio) roast session. "Onmyoji still making ¥440 million? WHO is still spending money on this? When will Zen die already?" wrote one bewildered player. Another chimed in with even more venom: "How is this trash still making money? When does Zen get shut down?" Even former players who sold their accounts showed up just to watch the trainwreck: "The game has bottomed out. I sold my account and now I'm just here for the drama — waiting to see when this thing finally croaks."

There are some fun side debates too. Someone questioned whether the Fantasy Westward Journey numbers include its PC version revenue, but was quickly corrected by more knowledgeable players — the mobile and PC versions are technically separate games with different monetization models (subscription vs. gacha). Others wondered where Diablo Immortal (暗黑不朽) is, given how whale-heavy that game supposedly is, but it apparently didn't make the cut.

The big picture takeaway? In NetEase's mobile ecosystem, Ni Shui Han has cemented itself as the undisputed revenue king, Eggy Party owns the casual/young audience, and the once-mighty Onmyoji IP is getting lapped by one successor after another. If Zen doesn't pull a miracle soon, the community's death wishes might just become a self-fulfilling prophecy.
