Another bunny girl bites the dust. The Chinese server of Blue Archive has officially completed its Bunny Girl event censorship — the devs dropped an announcement with before-and-after character art comparisons, and the extra fabric is... very noticeable. As "compensation," players get 20 gacha pulls. Yeah, twenty.

The censored versions show characters in noticeably more conservative outfits — some look like they've been stuffed into long johns, others like they've been wrapped in cling film. That said, a few players acknowledged the devs at least tried to make the modifications look intentional rather than just slapping random cloth patches everywhere.

The comment section turned into a massive copium-fueled party. One player deadpanned that "the censored version actually looks better — there's a beauty in having more to dig through" (挖钻 as double entendre), and others piled on with agreement. Others pointed out the devs already hid the event PV beforehand, but censorship still caught up — you can run but you can't hide.
One commenter tried to be constructive: "They actually put in some effort? It's not just lazy layering." But then immediately pivoted to dunking on Ash Echoes (交错战线) — "Over there it's literally mummy-wrapping levels of censorship." Classic "at least we're not as screwed as that guy" energy.
Reactions varied by character too. Some thought Asuna's modifications turned out fine, while die-hard fans of Neru mourned the loss of her original design's unique charm — her personality and appeal were nerfed along with the outfit.
Not everyone was buying the copium though. One player groaned, "I was really hoping we wouldn't see the classic 'censored is actually better' cope this time" — only to be met with a wall of "LET'S GOOO!" replies. As for whether 20 pulls is fair compensation? That's between each player and their gacha-addicted soul. But hey, free pulls are free pulls — you take what you can get.
