Players browsing through the character bios for newly released units discovered that multiple characters share the exact same description — blatant copy-paste with zero effort. To top it off, the iconic Mosin-Nagant rifle was misspelled with the wrong Chinese character (幸 instead of 辛). If your writers can't even get a weapon name right, the bar is already underground.

Some players initially gave the benefit of the doubt — maybe these characters belonged to the same in-game sub-group (like logistics or cafe staff from the first game), so sharing descriptions could make sense. But that theory was quickly debunked: the two characters with identical text have virtually nothing to do with each other. Even worse, eagle-eyed players spotted that Ksenya (克谢妮娅), who was a waitress in Girls' Frontline 1, is suddenly described as a pianist in the sequel with zero narrative justification.
