Ni Shui Han Mobile Brags About "Industry First" Costume Dyeing Feature — Gets Ratio'd by a Rival Game's Official Account

0 热度

Ni Shui Han Mobile (逆水寒手游) really outdid themselves this time. The game's official social media account proudly announced they were about to launch "the first [costume effect dyeing] feature in the entire gaming industry" — bold words for a bold claim.

But the reality check came fast. 以闪亮之名 (a fashion/gacha game, predecessor to Infinity Nikki) already had this exact feature — and it wasn't new either, it was a well-established system. Their official account didn't hesitate to show up and mock Ni Shui Han's claim with a cheeky "ahead of everyone, together!" response, sarcastically echoing the "领先" (leading) marketing language.

What made it even worse: according to netizen screenshots, 以闪亮之名's mocking comment under Ni Shui Han's Weibo post was swiftly deleted by the Ni Shui Han team. One player remarked, "I went to check and 以闪's comment is already gone." Of course, eagle-eyed users had already screenshotted everything for posterity.

以闪亮之名's team apparently kept pushing back, and the situation escalated hilariously.

Players were quick to point out the absurdity: "They literally just created an empty folder and called themselves first — the feature isn't even done yet." Others noted that costume effect dyeing has existed for over a decade in games like Perfect World, and more recently in Tower of Fantasy (幻塔) back in 2021. Calling it an "industry first" was beyond delusional.

Veteran players also dug up Ni Shui Han's marketing track record, painting a picture of a PR team that survives on provocation and controversy. One commenter revealed that Ni Shui Han had been trash-talking 以闪亮之名 from day one via their official account. Another added that they once publicly @'d Honor of Kings (王者荣耀) to propose a crossover event — a textbook example of clout-chasing by picking fights with bigger games.

The comment section was a mix of secondhand embarrassment and pure entertainment. Players who play both games took the chance to beg Ni Shui Han's devs: "Can you PLEASE learn how to copy housing designs instead of pulling stunts like this?" One user nailed the vibe perfectly: "It's like watching a smug brat get absolutely bodied." To be fair, some rational players pointed out that "the cringe marketing team's behavior has nothing to do with the actual players" — Ni Shui Han's own community were victims of this PR disaster too.
