Arknights' new story content has been exposed by eagle-eyed players for directly copy-pasting a classic dialogue sequence from GuJian 3 (古剑奇谭3), a beloved Chinese RPG. Three consecutive lines are virtually identical with only ONE character swapped out — a near-perfect 99% match. Hypergryph (aka YJ, Arknights' developer) scrambled to issue an apology.
The whole thing started when a player noticed something oddly familiar while playing through Arknights' latest story chapter. After cross-referencing with GuJian 3's iconic dialogue, the evidence was damning — three back-to-back lines matched almost word-for-word, with only a single character altered. Players roasted it mercilessly: 'This isn't alluding to classics, this is straight-up Ctrl+C Ctrl+V and forgetting to edit.'
The original poster laid out a full side-by-side comparison and fired shots at Hypergryph: 'YJ better get on their knees and apologize ASAP, because right now only their devoted whiteknights (孝子, slang for blindly loyal fans) and some mysterious accounts are still trying to defend them.' And sure enough, Hypergryph didn't hold out for long — their operations team quickly issued an official apology.
The comments section went nuclear. One player nailed it: 'Two things deserve the heat — first, the writer who clearly had a brain fart, and second, the QA that apparently doesn't exist.
