Girls' Frontline 2 Director Yuzhong Gets Rejected by STN for Sponsored Content — Even KOLs Won't Touch This Game Anymore

0 热度

When even STN — a gaming outlet notorious for "will shill for anyone who pays" — turns down your money, you know your game's reputation is absolutely cooked. A recent NGA post claims that Girls' Frontline 2 director Yuzhong (羽中) approached STN for another sponsored video, only to get flatly rejected. The comment section erupted immediately.

To understand why STN refused, you need the backstory. When Girls' Frontline 2 (少女前线2:追放) was drowning in controversy last October, STN put out a video that essentially acted as PR damage control for the developer Mica Team (云母组). The video conveyed promises from the devs that things would improve. For a brief moment, players had a sliver of hope. Then reality delivered a brutal rug-pull — not only did Yuzhong fail to follow through on those promises, but the situation actually got worse. Players called it a full-on "backstab." STN saw the writing on the wall and cut ties immediately.

One highly upvoted comment nailed the sentiment: "Who in their right mind would promote GF2 now? You'd be lying through your teeth to your own audience. Last time they said everything would get fixed, then stabbed players in the back. Only an idiot would sacrifice their core fanbase to take their sponsorship money." STN's rejection wasn't about ethics — it was pure business calculus. Their audience wouldn't buy it, and taking the deal would be PR suicide.

Another player painted a hilariously graphic metaphor for the collapsed partnership: "STN basically wiped Mica's ass after the October disaster. Then Yuzhong not only refused to clean up his act — he kept crapping everywhere. They got out fast this time. If they took another deal, they'd get splashed next." Crude but accurate — nobody wants to be the cleanup crew twice.

The comments section turned into a roast session with "helpful suggestions." Players recommended approaching other creators like Zhiyan Trigger (直言trigger) — "they already know each other, maybe they'll give a group discount in these desperate times" — or KOLs like Little Lion (小狮子) and even a certain "chicken farm owner." All jokes aside, the underlying message was brutal: Girls' Frontline 2 has become toxic waste in the KOL ecosystem. Touch it and you get burned.

It's worth noting that STN itself isn't exactly beloved. One player snarked, "STN is a clown too — they never apologized for plagiarizing content." The reply came back instantly: "Even clowns have standards — even they look down on Yuzhong." When the clowns refuse to clown for your game, you've truly hit rock bottom. Another commenter cut deeper: "STN is a business. They know what their audience wants and what they can and can't do. Now look at Yuzhong..." — the implication being that Yuzhong can't even grasp basic business logic.

As of now, neither the devs nor STN have officially confirmed the rumor — it remains unverified forum gossip. But judging by the community reaction, player trust in Girls' Frontline 2 is completely spent. And the fact that "even STN won't touch it" might speak louder than any review bomb ever could.
