Pixiv's 2023 Character Submission Ranking Drops — Hatsune Miku Crowned Queen AGAIN, AI Art Rates and R18 Stats Spark Wild Debate

0 热度

Every year, Pixiv's annual character submission count ranking is a staple event in the anime/gaming community — it's the ultimate scoreboard for which characters got the most love from artists. When the 2023 ranking dropped, NGA users rushed to share it, only to find the image was so compressed it looked like abstract art. Nobody could read a single number.

The platform's image compression absolutely destroyed the chart. The OP was baffled: "I can read my own original file just fine, why does it look like this after uploading?" After multiple failed attempts, they finally re-uploaded through the web version, producing a legible copy.

Despite the image being barely readable, the comment section exploded with discussion. Sharp-eyed users noticed the ranking included separate AI-generated art counts for each character and immediately asked: "Does this ranking include AI art?" The OP confirmed — AI submissions are listed separately but excluded from the official ranking. This detail, however, opened an even bigger can of worms. Users pointed out that "a certain company's IPs have suspiciously high AI rates", hinting that some popular franchises have a ridiculously high percentage of AI-generated fan art.

Hatsune Miku once again topped the ranking by a landslide, and Vocaloid fans went absolutely feral. Comments ranged from "The One True Goddess gives me confidence" to "Miku the Great Emperor reigns supreme" to "If you've seen the future, why not bow down?" — peak otaku devotion on full display. "The twintail lady is #1 again" — a perfectly concise and devastating summary.

Beyond Miku's god-tier dominance, the comments unearthed some genuinely spicy data points. Uma Musume was noted for having an unusually low AI art rate, with users suspecting it's because the franchise doesn't allow R18 fan works: "Uma Musume's AI rate is super low — isn't that because they banned R18 doujins?" Meanwhile, Anya from Spy x Family — a literal child character — reportedly had around a 10% R18 submission rate, prompting users to lose their minds: "Is there no law? Is there no justice?!"

Blue Archive's strong showing also drew attention, with users impressed at how dominant the franchise remained. miHoYo characters likewise secured spots in the top 100 — despite constantly getting flamed online, the data proves the IPs still generate massive amounts of fan content. One user couldn't help but comment that a certain character's presence was "a bit weird, not gonna lie."

All in all, the 2023 ranking once again cemented Hatsune Miku's absolute reign over the fan art world, while turning the spotlight onto AI art infiltration rates, R18 content boundaries, and the creative ecosystem surrounding major gaming IPs. When a simple chart can spark this much chaos — from image compression drama to heated debates about AI ethics and questionable fan content — you know the tea is piping hot.
