Blue Archive Slashes Censorship Compensation to 1/4 — From 20 Pulls Down to 5, Community Erupts in Rage

0 热度

Blue Archive just dropped a classic move — the devs announced a censorship patch arriving tomorrow (Jan 4th) that will nerf a batch of art assets, with a whopping 600 pyroxene as compensation. That's 5 pulls. Five. Pulls.

Here's the kicker: every single previous censorship wave came with 20 pulls as standard compensation. This time they slashed it to a quarter of that — not even close to what players consider the bare minimum. "Cut compensation by 4x, zero sincerity" pretty much sums it up.

To make matters worse, BA global (CN) players have been starving for resources for ages — most rely on events and compensation pulls to scrape by. Now even that lifeline is getting nerfed, and the comment section straight-up detonated.

The comments split into a few camps: the "classic CN server L" crowd who say you should've seen this coming if you play on the CN version — "it's just business as usual"; the "just play JP server" advocates directly recommending people buy starter accounts on the JP version, with "what's even the point of playing CN BA?" becoming the most-asked soul-searching question; and the business analysts roasting the ops team, suggesting "just give time-limited 10-pull tickets if you're scared of tanking revenue" — pointing out the devs couldn't even be bothered to think up a decent compensation plan.

Interestingly, some players laid out a rather cynical "conspiracy theory": the reason the devs don't ship the censored version from day one is because "if it launched censored, way fewer people would start playing — but once they're hooked, they'll complain and keep playing anyway." In other words, bait players with the uncensored version, then slowly boil the frog. One user put it bluntly: "it's about testing resistance" — testing just how much players are willing to tolerate.

Players also flagged that story text will be censored too — and unlike character art, "you can't even patch it back with the official mod." This hits different because while modders can restore censored character sprites, story text censorship is a hard wall players literally can't get around.

Of course, there are the zen-mode players too — one absolute legend commented: "I play CN server, I was prepared for the censorship. As long as they don't install Green Dam on my phone, I literally could not care less." Respect.

For now, the compensation controversy is still brewing. Whether the devs will cave and add more pulls remains to be seen, but one thing's for sure — this whole debacle just added more fuel to the "just quit CN server" fire. As one commenter so eloquently put it: if you choose to play CN, that's on you.
