Leaked Asset Left Behind? Mr. Raymond's Childhood Photo Spotted in 'Madam's' PV — Players Accuse Devs of Sabotage or Just Incompetence

How much chaos can one childhood photo cause? When it shows up where it shouldn't, the answer is: a LOT.

A player recently spotted what appears to be a childhood photo of 'Mr. Raymond' (雷蒙先生) tucked inside another character's promotional video. The OP posted two side-by-side screenshots and asked the community point-blank: 'Is this a coincidence, or are they being evil — or just stupid?'

According to an insider, dataminers had already found the same photo during asset unpacking earlier. One commenter laid it out plainly: 'They didn't have time to scrub the assets clean. People already said this — there's nowhere near enough time to fix everything, and there are definitely a bunch of time bombs left in there.'

Not everyone agreed on what they were seeing, though. Some argued the figure in the photo looks more like a girl. Another user clarified: 'During the datamine, there was the same photo — but in the unpacked version, it was Mr. Raymond as a kid. The one in the PV looks female, which is how the whole "Raymond got gender-swapped" theory started.'

But many players weren't buying the 'not enough time' excuse. One commenter cut straight to the bone: 'Whether they really ran out of time or not, the narrative will immediately become that the devs are paying lip service while deliberately leaving stuff in to screw with the players.' That kind of trust deficit doesn't happen overnight — it's been building for a long time.

One user tried to rationalize it through lore: 'Isn't it normal for a childhood version to appear? She was a household doll in the Raymond family before becoming a tactical doll.' An attempt at in-universe damage control.

But most players didn't even care about Raymond — they were too busy roasting the PV itself. One commenter wrote: 'Instead of this, they just kept cutting to close-ups of boars and stitched together a messy, silent-film-style PV where none of the assets are usable. And the pre-launch check-in event requires level 26?! If you can't make a game, just don't.'

Another piled on: 'Forget the Raymond thing — this PV is garbage on its own. Completely incoherent. They brought this on themselves; it's 100% a skill issue.'

The comments section gradually went off the rails in classic NGA fashion. One user confessed 'I'm guilty — I read the title wrong,' sparking a chain reaction of 'same here' replies. Others misread it too, with one person posting a meme in response. Another simply replied: 'Read it as something else entirely.' (In Chinese, 'PV' looks similar to another abbreviation with, ahem, very different connotations.)

One dramatic commenter delivered an impassioned one-liner: 'He's still here. The Madam never forgot about him!' — a line so melodramatic you can't tell whether to laugh or cry.

The debate on what actually happened boils down to two theories. One commenter said simply: 'They didn't clean it up in time.' But another raised a more chilling possibility: 'Was it really not cleaned up, or was it hidden deep on purpose? Something to think about.'

Regardless of the truth, this 'childhood photo gate' is yet another reminder: players have eagle eyes, and every single frame of a promotional video is under a microscope. Fail to scrub your assets properly, and the cost is your credibility going down even further.
