Sky Fortress Odyssey Suddenly Suspends Service for Censorship, Stirring Debate Over Character Designs

0 热度

Recently, the mobile game 'Sky Fortress Odyssey' announced a 7-day maintenance shutdown from September 14th to 21st. The developers stated clearly that the move is to revise the character designs for 'Miria,' 'Inka,' and 'Saya.' To soothe the player base, the company promised generous compensation, including in-game currency, tickets, and a new 'Legendary' grade character named 'Spring Cotton.'

The official announcement assured players that their data remains safe and that the team will use the downtime for further optimizations. However, regarding the character art flagged for revision, the community is divided. While some suggest the character designs were simply too 'revealing' (a common trigger for censorship in China), others speculate that the characters' potential 'Middle Eastern cultural elements' might be the true underlying reason for the intervention.

The comments section exploded. Some players argue that details like cleavage, high slits, and exposed midriffs are guaranteed to invite regulatory pressure. Others are skeptical, arguing that if such modest levels of 'fan service' were enough to warrant a full week of shutdown, then almost every other anime-style game on the market would have been purged already. Many expressed frustration at the inconsistent and opaque nature of current content censorship standards.
