【Honkai: Star Rail】Content Drought at Launch? Devs 'Kowtow' and Adjust Schedule After Community Backlash

0 热度

Recently, following an update for Honkai: Star Rail, the community became flooded with 'hei ni' (a slang term for negative, complaining feedback) as players grew frustrated with how quickly they could clear the new content. Players criticized the update for providing only 30 minutes of main storyline and two side quests, while the highly anticipated permanent event, 'Simulated Universe: Swarm Disaster,' was scheduled as late as September 14th.

Faced with intense public outcry, miHoYo took a rare and swift approach, 'kowtowing' (surrendering) to the community's demands: they changed the segmented events to launch all at once and moved the 'Swarm Disaster' event up to September 6th, while delaying certain double-drop events. Players mocked this decision as the 'morning three, evening four' idiom—a trick that changes the sequence but doesn't actually increase the total amount of content, failing to solve the underlying content drought issue.

In the comments, players expressed their frustrations sarcastically. Some joked that the development team might have prioritized modeling details on character costumes over actual gameplay development. Others pointed out that because the game lacks an open-world exploration system, it is highly susceptible to extended periods of downtime if new content is released too slowly. Meanwhile, some 'shitposters' used meme-heavy language common in the community, ironically calling for a purge of the 'corrupt officials' in the dev team to save the game.
