A bizarre black market scheme has been exposed in the game 'Eggy Party.' Since the game uses unique IDs, transactions often require one party to release their name. Opportunistic 'scalpers' monitor these transitions to snatch the IDs for themselves.

These stolen names are known as 'Black IDs.' Once they have hijacked an ID, the scalpers post 'blacklists' on forums and demand 'whitewashing fees' from the victims to clear their names. It’s effectively a digital extortion ring.

If the victims refuse to pay, they are targeted by non-stop harassment, friend requests, and threatening messages in-game. Even if they pay, the 'whitewashing' is just a meaningless forum post, proving the whole thing is just a shakedown. Players have widely condemned this as 'absurd' and 'toxic.'

The community reacted with pure disbelief, with many comparing the immaturity of the behavior to old, notorious online drama subcultures. Some players expressed relief that their games use unique UIDs while allowing duplicate nicknames, preventing such childish extortion.
