The Onmyoji community is currently in an uproar over a broken promise regarding a collector's skin for the character 'Ibaraki Doji'. The controversy ignited after an official announcement was posted late at night, sparking widespread player outrage.

According to community veterans, the root of this drama lies in long-standing accusations that the 'Zen' development team holds a bias against certain characters, often referred to as 'internal hatred' (neibu hen). Ibaraki Doji has allegedly been a victim of this neglect, missing out on skins for years and suffering from 'underwhelming' character iterations.
To pacify the player base, the developers had promised to collaborate with the original illustrator, 'Fuchuan,' to design a special collector's skin. However, when the three design drafts were finally released a year later, fans noted the art style did not match Fuchuan's work at all. This has led to accusations of false advertising, with players feeling the developers used the illustrator's name as a shield to deflect criticism without actually securing a genuine collaboration.
