Recently, the Chinese server of Blue Archive launched its Arena (PvP) mode. Similar to Princess Connect, players must climb the rankings to earn substantial gacha resources. However, the CN server shocked the community by cramming over 15,000 players into a single bracket, leading many to label the environment as a 'battle royale' or 'ultimate death match' for rewards.
In contrast, the experience in other regions is much more relaxed. Veteran players from the Japanese and Global servers noted that their arena brackets are significantly smaller, with some players easily maintaining high rankings without intense effort. The sheer density of competition in the CN server has triggered widespread criticism, as players compare this 'hell mode' launch to the notoriously cutthroat nature of other mobile game ports in the region.
The community response has been heated. Many players are questioning why the developers didn't utilize bots to balance the matchmaking. Others pointed out that top ranks have already become dominated by 'meta-slave' setups, with heavy spenders buying out stamina to hold their positions. Concerns are rising that this extreme level of competition might drive away new players and negatively impact the game's long-term health.
