Recently, the mobile game 'Punishing: Gray Raven' (PGR) has stirred up controversy again due to a baffling bug. According to player reports, the developers introduced a new high-difficulty mode called 'Battlefront' (Li Zhan) to promote the new character 'Echo'. The intended environmental buff was supposed to increase physical damage taken by enemies, but instead, players discovered that their physical teams were dealing negligible damage and getting one-shot by bosses.

The official patch notes revealed that the 'environmental buff' had been mistakenly applied to the players themselves rather than the monsters. Players poked fun at Kuro Games, the developer, for this recurring incompetence, comparing it to a similar incident in 'Neural Cloud' where an damage-increase function accidentally acted as a damage-reduction debuff. Although the developer issued a 100-currency compensation, players were frustrated because the incident took several days to fix, and the stage's strict 90-second DPS check made it nearly impossible for many players to clear.

The comment section remained relatively quiet. Some users joked that because the developer's newer 'sister' game has been producing such massive drama lately, these types of technical glitches in PGR now feel almost mundane.
