FGO CN Server PV Drama: Renaming Characters and Forced Viewings Trigger Backlash

Recently, the CN server of FGO released a commemorative PV for Lostbelt No. 3, leaving players 'nánbēng' (literally 'hard to hold a straight face,' meaning cringeworthy or absurd). The official team replaced character names with their 'censored' CN versions, but since these names were hardcoded into the original Japanese animation, the result was a disjointed mess.

To make matters worse, the developers forced this PV as an unskippable intro animation upon launching the game after maintenance. This triggered a wave of mockery in the community, with users sarcastically calling the forced censorship 'writing one thing but demanding it be read as another' (a reference to 'Pointing at a deer and calling it a horse').
