After numerous delays, 'Sword and Fairy World' has finally entered its testing phase. Heavily hyped since 2021 as a 'Sword and Fairy Metaverse,' the reality revealed that its core gameplay loop is almost a carbon copy of 'Genshin Impact.' From the character-swapping combat and elemental reactions to the progression systems and world puzzles, the game exudes a sense of déjà vu, leading netizens to mock it as 'Genshin Impact: Sword and Fairy Edition.'

In terms of combat and character progression, the game features a four-person party system consisting of legacy characters. However, not only are the upgrade paths identical to those found in typical gacha games, but the UI design has sparked intense debate—even including a floating companion that players have criticized as a 'Paimon clone.' One user quipped, 'It’s so familiar that it hurts; Genshin players won't even need a tutorial.'

While many players acknowledge that the game's foundation is superior to traditional Chinese martial arts MMOs, its technical performance remains a major weak point. Testers reported frequent stutters during transitions and stiff character interactions, with some claiming even an RTX 3090 struggles to maintain frame rates. Reaction in the community is polarized: some dismiss it as a cynical attempt to pump stock prices, while others plan to treat it as a 'locust game'—trying it out briefly at launch before jumping ship.
