Recently, the official announcement from Reverse: 1999 has ignited widespread fury within the player community. The developers engaged in an incredibly frustrating game of semantics: claiming the new banner is technically 'non-limited', while simultaneously stating there is 'no other way to obtain the character' outside of the current event period. This back-and-forth, with the announcement being deleted and re-posted three times, has been mocked by players as 'redefining what non-limited means'.

The community response has been scathing. Players pointed out that the game never disclosed such 'non-limited' banner mechanics at launch, intentionally inducing players to exhaust their resources on standard banners. The sudden drop of high-tier power-creep units has led to accusations of cash-grabbing. Some compared these tactics to 'boiling a frog in warm water,' warning that if players remain passive, these exploitative practices will only escalate.
