Is 'Reverse: 1999' withholding the main character's ascension art as a 'gift'?

0 热度

Recently, players in the community have raised concerns regarding the character ascension system in 'Reverse: 1999'. Observations show that characters with three stars or higher usually possess unique ascension art (often referred to as 'Insight' art). Even four-star characters, despite minor visual changes, receive distinct illustrations.

Characters with five stars or more see significant design updates, often involving detailed changes to their outfits or complete visual overhauls, accompanied by corresponding changes to their in-game combat models. The contrast for characters like Sotheby and Eagle is quite noticeable.

However, the main character and mascot, 'Sonetto', is missing this feature entirely, relying only on her base artwork and a skin gifted during new player events. Players suspect the developers might have split the would-be ascension art into a 'free skin' to pad out rewards, finding it difficult to explain why the mascot specifically lacks this standard asset.

Opinions in the community are mixed. Some users argue this is merely speculation lacking 'solid evidence' and shouldn't be considered a serious 'gossip' (or 'drama'). Others remain puzzled by the mascot's 'special treatment' and are debating whether this alignment with character progression makes sense.
