Rayark Under Fire: Rumors of Mass Layoffs of Artists to Replace with AI Spark Community Outrage

0 热度

Recently, Twitter user SaltPPC claimed that renowned rhythm game developer Rayark had laid off its entire art department, fully switching to AI-generated assets. The leaker cited disgruntled former employees who criticized the low quality of the current AI-generated work, leading to calls for a boycott of the studio's titles.

In reality, Rayark began recruiting for 'AI Art Designers' back in November, a move that sparked initial debates over AI replacing human talent. Following the latest rumors, the official team released a statement denying the mass layoff allegations.

The community response remains skeptical. While the total layoff claim may not be verified, the 'yan-shang' (a term for online firestorm/backlash) stems from the subpar AI art spotted in 'Cytus II'. Players argue the issue isn't the technology itself, but the lack of quality control. The studio, once celebrated for its high-end aesthetic, is now perceived as lazy and cost-cutting, leading to a significant erosion of fan trust.
