Is the JP Server 'Slowly Dying'? The Operational Divide in World Flipper Sparks Community Debate

0 热度

Recently, the Japanese server of 'World Flipper' issued a major update, announcing the conclusion of its main story. After the 3.5-year anniversary, they will transition to a cycle of reruns with a significantly slowed release schedule for new characters and weapons. This move has led the community to describe the game as entering a state of 'chronic death,' with many veteran players predicting its inevitable demise.

In contrast, the Chinese server (CN) has maintained a completely different trajectory. Following the JP announcement, the CN operations team issued a statement promising continued updates, new content, and localized events. With the CN server's revenue currently stable and significantly outperforming the Japanese counterpart, players are questioning why the developer, Cygames, is scaling back while the fanbase is still willing to spend.

The community's response has been mixed. Many have drawn parallels to 'Dragalia Lost,' noting that the phrasing of the announcement feels like a harbinger of a total shutdown. Meanwhile, some optimists joke that the CN server might become the game's sole survivor, potentially taking over development or creating exclusive '2.0' content to keep the game alive.
