Recently, the ACG-style mobile game 'Deep Echo' (Cangwu Canxiang) has sparked heated debates due to its absurd technical architecture. Players discovered that by simply modifying the local time on their phones, they could force-unlock event stages that were not yet officially released, effectively 'time-traveling' to access future content.

The community reaction was explosive. Veterans noted that given the game previously suffered from an integer overflow exploit that allowed players to cheat on gacha currency, this client-side time manipulation is hardly surprising. Critics sarcastically remarked that even many single-player games have better anti-tamper measures, suggesting the game should just ditch its live-service pretense.
Beyond the time-skipping exploit, players also reported that the event shop occasionally displayed illegal items like character weapons. If players attempted to purchase these, the game would simply consume their tokens without granting any rewards.

Aside from technical stability, concerns were raised regarding the game operating without a license (Banhao) while still accepting payments via domestic channels. With fears that the game could shutter at any moment, many players are cutting their losses and heading for the exits to await more reliable releases.
