Recently, Arknights encountered an interesting bug where players could farm infinite furniture parts by buying and selling furniture for a profit. Since these parts are only used for cosmetic items—making them a rather useless, "chicken rib" (鸡肋/worthless but reluctant to discard) currency—many players participated for the fun of it.

However, the developer did not turn a blind eye. Shortly after the bug surfaced, they issued an official correction. What surprised the community most was that players who had already spent the exploited currency found their balances in the negatives after the correction.
The comment section was buzzing. Some players joked, "Are they going to track down every last cent? What happens if it's negative—will they ask you to pay it back?" Others analyzed the logic: it was a "precision strike." If you didn't spend the extra, they just took it back; if you spent it, you ended up in debt.

Regarding player concerns, seasoned community members clarified: the negative balance only restricts furniture purchases, doesn't interfere with general gameplay, and there is no deadline to pay off the "debt." Most users concluded that this was a reasonable official response that punished abusers without collateral damage to innocent players.
