Recently, players discovered a significant pricing loophole in an Arknights event: an event furniture item could be bought for 120 tokens and sold back for 155, creating a 'risk-free' arbitrage loop. Some players exploited this to generate hundreds of thousands of tokens, causing quite a stir in the community.

Facing this exploit, the developer Hypergryph (often affectionately or ironically referred to as 'Yingjiao' or 'Baka-Yingjiao' by fans) reacted quickly but in a somewhat heavy-handed manner. Without issuing an immediate public notice, they triggered a forced disconnect for any player attempting to purchase the item. Following this, the exploit was patched, and the purchase option was restricted.
The community reacted with skepticism regarding the technical handling of the issue, with many speculating about potential rollbacks or asset removals. While some worried about account sanctions, others pointed out that these event tokens are usually abundant, making the time spent farming them arguably pointless.
