Following the announcement of 'optimizations' for two character portraits and a compensation of 500 Quartz Sand last night, sharp-eyed players sensed something ominous. As expected, today's update brought an unexpected and sweeping wave of 'Harmonization' (a common Chinese internet euphemism for censorship).
Beyond the mentioned portraits, characters like Millau and Turing have also been modified. Furthermore, the game has removed Live2D (L2D) and dynamic art previews from the character interface; they now only animate if the character is set as your main 'Secretary.' Taking Persicaria as an example, even at maximum potential, the interface now only shows a static image.

More frustratingly, the ability to preview unowned skins has been restricted. For instance, the New Year skin for Daiyan is no longer visible in the preview window.

The player community reacted strongly. Some argue that this 'ostrich-style' censorship—trying to hide the content—is ineffective and criticized the developer's management. Others worry that this signals a new, harsher wave of industry-wide regulations, noting that other titles, such as 'Azur Lane,' have also been forced to undergo similar adjustments to appease regulators.
