Recently, the 'Star Membership' system launched by Honor of Kings has sparked heated discussion in the community due to its absurd task requirements. To earn a Dream-chaser (Mengqi) epic skin, players are required to accumulate 20,000 experience points. However, the hard targets on the task list have left players stunned: the requirements demand ownership of '500 skins' and '150 heroes'.

Faced with this 'impossible' task list, players pointed out that the current total of skins in the game is only 457 (including skins that are no longer available) and the total number of heroes is only 111. Given the current release cadence of only a few new heroes per year, it would take at least five years to reach the 150-hero requirement.
Addressing questions about whether one can simply 'pay-to-win' to level up, savvy players noted that it is possible by creating multiple side accounts and spending money across different game servers to feed the main account's experience—which explains why many high-level accounts are backed by numerous alt accounts. Many commenters criticized the design, suggesting the developers simply dragged numbers in an Excel spreadsheet without considering the actual state of the game.
Furthermore, many players feel this design is eerily familiar, suspecting the logic mirrors the notoriously difficult and criticized 'Achievement System' previously seen in QQ Speed.
