New 'Honkai Gakuen 2' Event Sparks Backlash Due to Imbalanced Difficulty and Abrupt Removal

0 热度

Recently, 'Honkai Gakuen 2' launched a new challenge-based event called 'Stein's Small Dark Room'. Players needed to reach 40,000 points to claim all rewards, with physical prizes reserved for the top 500. However, the event's numerical balance was so poorly tuned that achieving the full score was virtually impossible for most.

The 'only solution' to hit the top bracket required two specific crossover items that had only been available twice in the game's history, alongside a high-end Apple device to handle the load. Average players capped out at around 35,000 points, making the higher rewards and physical prizes unreachable. The event was eventually pulled by the developers after failing to meet intended expectations.

The community reacted with a mix of shock and mockery, calling it a classic case of 'code spaghetti' (a common derogatory term among Chinese players for games with messy, bloated code). Players were particularly stunned to learn that certain damage-dealing builds required tens of thousands of damage instances per second, which literally fries average smartphones and creates hardware-based advantages in group events. The absurdity of requiring top-tier hardware for a mobile game event drew widespread criticism from the player base.
