A recent online merchandise sale organized by the ComiCup (CP) committee has sparked outrage within the community. Fans discovered a blatant case of price discrimination regarding shipping fees: while fans of other IPs were charged around 130 RMB for combined shipping, 'Tears of Themis' fans were hit with over 400 RMB for the same quantity of badges. This 'targeted' pricing led players to sarcastically mock the situation, asking if their merchandise was 'gold-plated.'

Furthermore, players pointed out that 'Tears of Themis' generated significantly higher sales than all other participating IPs combined. Fans expressed their frustration, noting that if the organizers didn't want their business, they shouldn't have initiated the collaboration in the first place. The term 'Gu-zi' (谷子, meaning merchandise/goods) became a centerpiece of their complaints, as they felt insulted by the blatant overcharging.

Faced with immense pressure, the official CP account issued an apology on September 20th, promising to rectify the shipping fees and process refunds for the affected orders. While the issue was resolved, players remain skeptical and indignant, noting that had it not been for their collective, relentless complaining, the organizers likely would have kept the extra revenue without a second thought.
