Material Drop Rates in BGO Summer Event Allegedly Shadow-Nerfed, Follow-up Fix Sparks Player Backlash

0 热度

During the recent summer event in BGO (the CN server of Fate/Grand Order), players collect materials via treasure boxes. According to the JP server's precedent, the drop rate for the five materials in each color-coded box should be 1:1:1:1:1. However, CN players soon discovered the drop rates were skewed, closer to 2:1:1:1:1. Notably, low-demand materials like 'Snake Jewels' were appearing far too frequently, triggering widespread complaints.

After mass feedback and community-led statistical analysis, the official team finally responded in the announcement comments, stating they were 'investigating the issue.' However, the fix itself was a comedy of errors: it introduced new UI bugs, such as displaying 'bonus drops' that shouldn't exist, and redundant dialogue prompts before combat. Ultimately, 'A-B' (a derogatory nickname for the Bilibili operating team) silently adjusted the rates back to normal without providing any official explanation or compensation, which left many players feeling neglected.

The community remains divided on the intent. While some speculate it was a deliberate shadow-nerf, many attribute it to the developer's technical incompetence—recalling past spaghetti-code bugs. Others questioned the logic behind such tight resource management in a game primarily focused on character appreciation ('Waifu/Husband' gaming), sarcastically labeling the developer as 'simply bad at their job.'
