Sensor Tower has released its revenue ranking for domestic mobile games in August. The top three are still dominated by industry giants: Honor of Kings ($147M), Game for Peace ($67M domestic + $37M international), and the highly controversial Diablo Immortal ($42M domestic + $27M international).

In the ACG (Anime, Comic, and Game) sector, Genshin Impact continues to lead by a significant margin ($36M domestic + $55M international). Familiar titles like Path to Nowhere, Arknights, Honkai Impact 3rd, and Love and Deepspace also appeared. Tower of Fantasy, despite only seeing $1M in domestic revenue, sparked intense debate due to its strong international performance ($29M).
Community reactions are mixed. Some netizens jokingly remarked that while Diablo Immortal's reputation is polarizing under NetEase's operation, its ability to generate revenue is undeniable, leading to the quip: 'Players don't understand Diablo, but NetEase understands players.' Regarding Tower of Fantasy, users mocked its weak domestic performance while ironically calling it 'full of potential' (a common sarcastic phrase for underperforming games) in light of its overseas success. Meanwhile, the classic 'Genshin is dying' narrative persists as a standard community trope.
