Tower of Fantasy: A Bizarre Ranking Logic Where Slower Completion Times Earn Higher Ranks

0 热度

Recently, a player in the international version of 'Tower of Fantasy' reported an absurd ranking mechanic: when comparing players at the same level, the system actually ranks those with longer completion times higher. The player originally thought they had lost to a rival due to a slower clear time, only to be surprised to find themselves sitting in first place.

After checking the data of others in their group, the counter-intuitive logic was confirmed. Players joked that from now on, to secure a top spot, they might have to deliberately drag out the fight and keep one monster alive until the very last second. Some users questioned if the source code had become a 'spaghetti code' nightmare (referred to by Chinese netizens as a 'poop mountain'), calling the situation a 'who can run slower' competition.

In the comments, users ridiculed the oversight, with one saying, 'Higher number means higher rank, technically that’s correct.' Others joked about the 'low-quality content' and described this as a classic example of the game's increasingly absurd management, mocking the idea of being rewarded for playing 'badly'.
