On August 12th, the test server for Honor of Kings underwent a massive version update. Due to the complexity of the changes, the server faced multiple delays. Amidst the chaos, a hilarious bug emerged in the recall effect of Sun Ce's Valentine's Day skin: the character models for Da Qiao and her horse were swapped, leading to some truly absurd animations.

While most players saw this as nothing more than a funny technical glitch, some vocal communities on Weibo weaponized the incident. They labeled it as an act of 'misogyny' (a common accusation in Chinese gaming spaces when female characters are perceived as being treated disrespectfully) and launched a campaign of outrage against the developers.
Experts noted that the bug was merely a coding logic error caused by asset deletion in the test build, and the developers patched it in less than 24 hours. The community reaction was largely one of mockery, with users flooding the comments with 'I can't even' (没绷住) and calling the glitch the 'Princess on a White Horse.' One user even recounted a story of a player claiming to have spent 8,000 RMB on the character, only to be silenced by others for their bizarre justifications.
