Tower of Fantasy Global: Chinese Language, But Not Really

Recently, a student studying abroad in Singapore vented their frustration regarding the bizarre Chinese language support in the global version of 'Tower of Fantasy'. While the client detects system language, there is no manual toggle to select Chinese in the game settings.

Upon entering the game, the settings interface appears to be in Chinese, but the actual gameplay experience is chaotic. The cutscenes are the most jarring part: English audio paired with incoherent, machine-translated Chinese subtitles that are virtually impossible to read.

To make matters worse, players cannot even disable these terrible translations because there is no language selection menu available in the game.

Eventually, the player managed to force-enable Chinese by editing the local 'GameUserSettings.ini' configuration file. Commenters in the thread joked: "Cut them some slack, implementing multi-language support is really hard!" while others hailed the return of the "Drama King" of the industry.
