Following the previous controversy regarding 'phantom price increases,' Aobi Island: Dreamland is once again in the spotlight. During the Qixi Festival event, a critical bug caused multiple players to be repeatedly charged for the same store package. Even worse, the developer's proposed 'remedy' was not a refund of actual money, but rather a 10-pull Gacha ticket and in-game vouchers equivalent to the overcharged amount. This 'cash-to-voucher' conversion scheme, which effectively traps players' money within the game, has ignited widespread backlash, with some users reporting being overcharged as many as three times.

The community response has been furious. Players are slamming the 'vouchers-only, no-refund' policy as a blatant form of 'forced consumption'—a tactic designed to prevent players from exiting the game's ecosystem. On August 6th, the media outlet 'Consumer Report' picked up the story, further escalating the pressure on the developer.
