Onmyoji's 'Zai Zhan' Event Enrollment Plummets, Bot-Inflated Numbers Fail to Hide Declining Popularity

0 热度

Recently, 'Onmyoji' launched its popular 'Zai Zhan' event, which is supposed to be a competitive celebration where players rally for their favorite Shikigami. However, the event has faced an unprecedented cold shoulder. In previous years, high-traffic guilds would be fully booked almost overnight, easily clearing the 2-million registration milestone for rewards. This time, the guilds remained largely empty, and even with the deployment of large-scale 'Yin Bing' (bots/dummy accounts used to simulate activity), the numbers failed to reach the target after the competition officially started.

The irony is heightened by the comparison with new character release registrations, which boast over 10 million. This sharp discrepancy has led many to question the game’s true active player count.

The community is buzzing with criticism. Veteran players lament that the game is nearing its end, blaming the developers' 'Yin Jian' (underworld/bizarre) operational decisions for driving the player base away. Some users mocked the developers, suggesting that instead of lowering standards, they should have just scripted fake numbers to 'save face.' Others jokingly remarked that there aren't enough bots; if they had faked all 2 million slots, the lack of real players would have become embarrassingly obvious once the actual gameplay (like the 'Qin Fei' mode) required real-time human interaction.
