Recently, players discovered a promotional "snafu" regarding Genshin Impact merchandise sold on MiHoYo's official community app, Miyoushe. The app displayed banners promising a 15% discount for buying three items, appearing to match the promotions at their official Taobao store.

However, when users inquired about the discount stacking rules, customer service claimed the image was "posted by mistake." Upon closer inspection, the Taobao store offers better value through coupons and loyalty points, whereas the Miyoushe store felt comparatively poor even before the realization that the "15% off" banner was a technical error, killing off many users' interest.

Adding fuel to the fire, the company "swiftly" removed and replaced the image after the oversight was pointed out, leaving players who had already calculated their purchases feeling like "clowns" (a common Chinese internet slang for feeling foolish or duped).

The community response has been mixed. While some users debated whether it was an intentional traffic-driving tactic or just standard platform price variations, most agreed that the core issue was the confusing and misleading management of promotional materials. Others took the opportunity to complain about the quality of the merchandise itself, specifically criticizing the facial features of the new figure.
