Recently, Perfect World joined forces with the Xuzhou police to strike a heavy blow against cheats for the mobile game 'Tower of Fantasy.' Several cheat developers and distributors were arrested, and the cheats are now fully disabled. Since its launch in late 2021, 'Tower of Fantasy' has been a flagship title for Perfect World, and this legal action underscores the company's zero-tolerance stance against gray market activities.

To combat the complex issue of private servers and cheats, Perfect World established a dedicated task force involving legal and security departments back in 2018. Statistics show that between 2016 and 2021, the company supported police in cracking down on 62 related cases with a total value exceeding 63 million RMB, involving titles like 'Jade Dynasty' (Zhu Xian), 'Swordsman Online,' 'DOTA2,' and 'CS:GO.'

Community reactions are mixed. Some players used gaming slang (calling for 'popping champagne' to celebrate the cheaters' demise), supporting the firm action. However, more pragmatic players noted that battling cheats is a long-term war; even popular titles like 'Naraka: Bladepoint' struggle to eliminate them entirely.
