Recently, the new event 'End of Relaxation' in the turn-based card game *Soul Tide* has sparked significant controversy. Despite being intended to welcome back returning players, the event's high difficulty levels have alienated newcomers and casual players (often called 'salted fish' in Chinese gaming culture).

The event forces players into rigid team compositions, occupying limited squad slots. As the event progresses, the difficulty spikes: one boss reached 1.6 million HP with a 10-turn limit, while the same boss in story mode only had 530k HP and a 20-turn limit. This vast discrepancy has led players to accuse the developers of poor balancing.

The puzzle design is another major point of contention. Failure forces players to repeat the entire map, including tedious environmental puzzles. Some puzzles even contain logical errors in their coding questions, which are objectively incorrect. With the developers silent despite the backlash, frustration in the community continues to grow.

In the comments, while some praised the 'hardcore' nature of the event, most players criticized the poor design choices. One user pointed out that the logic in the coding puzzle was broken, and forced map resets make for an exhausting experience. Many felt that the design, which lacks progression parity between modes, is simply 'incredibly stupid'.
